TOPIC: Stepping into Divine destiny

Text: Joshua 3: v 17

 

INTRODUCTION: Canaan was promised to Abraham 400 years before the final occupation by his offsprings and the fulfillment of God’s promised inheritance. I come to prophesy to the life of someone her today “I do not care how long it has been that you have your promise pending, this year 2018 you will step into your Divine destiny by Divine miraculous power in Jesus name”. After Israel was rescued from slavery in Egypt, what should have taken them 40 days took the 40 years. I come to declare to someone tonight that your Israelite wandering in the desert of the world is ended. I just want to share a few words about the steps Israel took in Joshua 3, to change their status from foreigner to landowner. I strongly feel in my spirit that someone’s level is changing for the better in Jesus name.

 

  1. Step of faith v1: This had been lacking in their journey as they constantly refused to enter the land because of giants or one excuse or the other. Having had the good news from the spies, they rose early in the morning and shifted camp with anticipation and expecting to finally enter God’s promise. Spiritual people carry out the first part of their early day with God before any other business (Job 1:5; Ps 88:13; 119:47; Mk 1:35). It is a habit that should be emulated. The firstfruits of all that we have or do belongs to God. Jesus started His day with prayer seeking His father’s face before making decisions for the day, whether to preach, heal, miracles. Early rising is practiced by many distinguished men
  2.   Instructions to be followed v2,3,8: there were instruction given by the officers or leaders. The bible says all authorities are of God for the good of the people. Instruction was to see/focus and follow the ark of covenant.

 

  1. Reverence to God v4: they were to give space between the ark of covenant and themselves. The ark of covenant represented the presence of God and so proper reverence must be given to prevent careless handling of the ark (1Sam.6:19; 2Sam. 6:6-7). Without God we can do nothing and if we are to be successful, we need to seek His guidance and follow after Him.

 

  1. Sanctification v5: They were to sanctify themselves to prepare for the wonders God was about to perform. Consecration is the duty of everyone that comes around God. In the OT it means washing of body and garments. In Scripture, water is symbolic of the Word of God, and clothes represent a person’s character or condition. To consecrate ourselves, we must be getting into the Word of God and letting it change our thoughts and actions and refraining from sexual intercourse (Ex.19:14, 15; 1Cor. 7:5). It is to put oneself in acceptable status. Priests are constantly in consecration. It means to secure and to keep all the strength of our body soul and spirit for God’s use alone.

 

  1. Obedience v17: They obeyed instructions as directed. The priests carried the ark and the people followed. As soon as the soles of their feet touched the waters of the river, the waters rose up in a heap. It was in God’s plan to remove the waters of Jordan so His people can pass through to the Promised Land just as when He led them out of Egypt. It was not by accident, it was be design. God uses the natural things He created to make miracles happen. It is believed that God caused an earthquake (Judges 5:4; Ps 114:3, 4) which caused the high banks of the Jordan to topple into the river stopping its flow. When the feet of the priests carrying the presence of God touched the earth, it had to shake. Someone here today needs to know that they are carrying God’s power (Ps.114: 5, Ps. 78:13). Every contrary sea must flee and every Jordan before you must be driven back in 2018. God helps His people when they obey his commands given through his leader.” What they could not achieve for forty years was completely achieved.

In light of the lessons and result of achieved in case of Israel I have the conviction that 2018 will be successful for us as we follow in their footsteps. I therefore declare 2018 the year of Divine focus and Miraculous Turnaround.

2018 PRAYERS

  1. I enter 2018 with great anticipation and expectancy of your goodness. My expectation will not be cut short.
  2. Every giant standing in the way of my destiny be pulled down.
  3. I receive grace to follow instructions and be teachable
  4. Do not let me handle your work carelessly or take you for granted in 2018 but diligently serve you with reverence.
  5. I consecrate myself for your miracles in 2018.
  6. I receive the grace to obey your word completely in 2018.
  7. I receive anointing to achieve what I have not been able to achieve for long, in 2018
  8. Let your name be magnified in my life and release fearful blessing that shock my enemies.
  9. Let every obstacle in the way of my destiny be removed with resultant change in level and status.
  10.  Let all strongmen against my finances expire.
  11. Every moment of 2018, evil will be far from you and my loved ones.
  12. In 2018 I receive automatic connection to Destiny helpers and grace for them to will locate me.
  13. In 2018 I receive grace for little work, plenty of profit. I will no longer work like an elephant and eat like an ant.
  14. As a carrier of your presence, let there be Divine shaking and impact everywhere I thread.
